JJ’s Family Restaurant

by

Sean and I ate lunch at a little hole in the wall today called JJ’s Family Restaurant.  It’s waaaaaaaay over in Fort William, which takes about 20 mins to get to.  Sigh – what a long drive.  The T-Bay folks out there will understand the hardships we went through to get there.  KW folks, it’s like having to drive from Conestoga Mall to Fairview Mall.  Such a long and harrowing journey.  Now we know how the pilgrims must have felt.

Anyhoo…JJ’s serves Chinese and North American food.  Sean wanted to go there specifically for the “Special Wonton” soup.  I snickered about the name until I tasted it.  That soup is certainly special.  Delicious pork, veggies, yummy broth with delicate wontons floating around in it.  The cherry on top was that the surface of the soup was covered in crunchy noodles.  A masterpiece.

Aaaaaaand I found this awesome part of their menu.

Those dishes sure are exotic!  Who would eat that stuff?  What is this?  Fear Factor???
